GLOBAL AFRICAN AWARDS MAKES ENTRY IN SPAIN

Nominations have opened for the inaugural Global African Awards (GAA) Spain Edition set for Saturday 9 September in Madrid.

The GAA will be honouring leading personalities and organisations who have excelled in different fields of expertise from the African diaspora communities.

The event is powered by CMG International Media Group in partnership with ROOTENCIAL and the organisers are calling on the general public to cast nominations here.

“We are delighted as an organisation to extend our presence to Spain, one of the most vibrant hubs of multi-cultural excellence and diversity. We are looking to honour achievers of African descent who have made positive contributions to the global community,” said GAA Chairman Conrad Mwanza.

The nomination period will run until Friday 30 June 2023 with the public nominations then assessed by the GAA Panel before a shortlist of the nominees gets released for the voting period.

GAA Representative Josefina Bonsundy stated that the inaugural event will carry a celebratory tone as well as a networking platform.

“There’s so much talent and potential in the Global African community. And I firmly believe that tapping into this talent and potential can release huge benefits for our world.”

“Our current global challenges and opportunities require boldness, courage and diversity in problem-solving and no communities should be left behind in finding solutions, driving innovation and growth,” said Bonsundy.

A number of Africans are making strides across academia, leadership, business, innovation, philanthropy, sport and media, among others in Spain.

Ms Bonsundy further stated that the organisation is committed to celebrating and promoting the ‘Global African’ brand, businesses and individuals in Spain.
